Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of NovaHunt, an agentic job-search service operated by Novah AI ("Novah AI", "we", "us") at trynovahunt.com. By creating an account or using NovaHunt you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We have tried to keep these Terms short and readable. Anything important is bold.

1. Acceptance

You accept these Terms by clicking the magic-link confirmation email, by using any part of the service, or by paying for a subscription. If you are using NovaHunt on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, in which case "you" means both you personally and the organisation.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use NovaHunt.

2. License to use

Subject to these Terms and your continued compliance with them, Novah AI grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use NovaHunt for the lawful purpose of conducting your own job search. The service, the underlying agent system, the prompts, the user interface, the documentation, and the trademark "NovaHunt" are owned by Novah AI and are licensed, not sold, to you. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you except the limited license described here.

3. Account responsibilities

One account per person. Accounts are personal. You may not share your magic-link email, your active session, or your account access with anyone else. If you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, email security@trynovahunt.com and we will lock the account.

Accurate information. You will keep your account email, profile, and uploaded resume accurate. Submitting a fabricated resume, impersonating another candidate, or applying to jobs under someone else's identity is a material breach of these Terms and may also be a crime.

Your content. You retain ownership of the resume, profile, and other content you upload. You grant Novah AI a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating NovaHunt for you (including running it through our agents and the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy). The license ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention windows described in the Privacy Policy.

4. AI output disclaimer

NovaHunt uses large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude) to score job matches, draft resumes, write cover letters, and prepare outreach. The output is a suggestion. You own and must review every draft before it is sent. You are responsible for the accuracy of any document you submit to an employer.

We do not, and cannot, guarantee:

  • that you will receive interviews;
  • that you will receive offers;
  • that any specific match score corresponds to your real fit for a role;
  • that any drafted document is free of factual errors, inaccuracies, hallucinations, or formatting issues.

Match scores, gap analyses, and rationales are decision support, not verdicts. You remain the decision-maker. NovaHunt does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (see GDPR Article 22 and our Privacy Policy).

If we make a substantive change to the model in use, we will mention it in the daily briefing.

5. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • scrape NovaHunt itself, or use NovaHunt to scrape any upstream job board or ATS;
  • upload a resume that is not your own, or otherwise misrepresent your identity;
  • send automated applications to employers for whom you have no genuine interest (job-board spam, "shotgun" applications, or anything resembling them);
  • use NovaHunt's outreach features (DISPATCHER, ENVOY) for recruiter-spam, mass cold-outreach unrelated to job-seeking, or anything that would breach CAN-SPAM, the EU ePrivacy Directive, or similar laws;
  • abuse the free tier — for example, by creating multiple accounts to multiply free quotas, or by automating signup flows;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or republish our agent prompts, internal scoring logic, or proprietary instructions;
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent our rate limits, spend caps, consent prompts, or abuse-detection controls (CANARY, ABACUS, WATCHTOWER);
  • use NovaHunt to discriminate against any candidate or applicant on the basis of any class protected under federal, state, or local employment law (this is a prohibition specifically targeted at any future enterprise/recruiter use);
  • use NovaHunt to assist with any conduct that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of the employer you are contacting.

Our Acceptable Use Policy gives more detail on these and on enforcement. Material breach permits us to suspend or terminate the account.

6. Billing

NovaHunt offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Team), plus one-time credit packs for overage. Pricing is published at https://trynovahunt.com/pricing.

Subscriptions auto-renew. Monthly plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Stripe Customer Portal linked in your settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against the unused portion of the current period. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.

Credit packs. Credit packs are one-time purchases that extend your monthly spend headroom on Claude usage. Unused credits expire on the date shown at purchase (typically 12 months); we will warn you at least 7 days before expiry.

Refunds. We offer a refund on the first billing cycle if you request it within 14 days of the initial charge and have used less than 10% of the included monthly spend. After the 14-day window, charges are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not refund credit-pack purchases except where required by law.

Taxes. Prices are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax. Where Stripe Tax is enabled, taxes appear at checkout.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will retry per Stripe's standard dunning schedule and email you. If the failure is not resolved within 14 days, we will move the account to the free tier and pause paid features.

7. Service availability

NovaHunt is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not offer an SLA on the free tier. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but make no uptime guarantee. Paid plans receive priority support; for enterprise SLA commitments, contact sales@trynovahunt.com.

Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled outages are part of running a SaaS product. Our subprocessors (Anthropic, Railway, Resend, Stripe, the job boards we connect to) occasionally have outages outside our control, and we are not liable for downstream outages.

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature you currently pay for, we will offer a prorated refund of the unused portion.

8. Termination

By you. You can delete your account from the settings page at any time. Account deletion is a RED-tier action with a 24-hour cooling delay; you can cancel the deletion during that window.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account on notice if you materially breach these Terms (including the Acceptable Use Policy), if your payment is overdue beyond the dunning window, or if continued operation of your account would expose us or our subprocessors to legal risk. We will explain the reason in writing unless the law or a security investigation prevents us from doing so.

On termination we will delete your data per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
  • Novah AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or jobs not won;
  • Novah AI's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, in aggregate, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Novah AI for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless Novah AI, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your misuse of the service, (b) any content you upload that infringes a third party's rights or violates law, or (c) your breach of these Terms. This survives termination.

11. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

Any dispute between you and Novah AI arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation. Either party may initiate negotiation by emailing legal@trynovahunt.com with a written description of the dispute. The parties will negotiate for at least 30 days before pursuing any other remedy.

If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, before a single arbitrator, seated in San Francisco County, California. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party bears its own fees and costs, except that the arbitrator may award costs to the prevailing party.

Class waiver. Disputes must be brought on an individual basis only. Class actions, class arbitrations, representative actions, and consolidated actions are not permitted.

Carve-outs. Either party may bring a claim in small-claims court for matters within that court's jurisdiction, and either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property pending arbitration.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@trynovahunt.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating clearly that you are opting out. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will email registered users and post the change here at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a material change, you can delete your account before the effective date and the previous Terms will continue to govern your past use.

14. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Cookie Policy, and (for B2B customers) the Data Processing Addendum constitute the entire agreement between you and Novah AI.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder will continue in force.
  • No waiver. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Notices. Notices to you may be sent to your account email. Notices to us must be sent to legal@trynovahunt.com.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
